I started at Petrotech (now known as Petro Controls) as a CAD-Engineer, but during the years I enlarge my knowledge and became an designer for Wellhead Control Systems and all other relevant controlling systems in many variations, such as Electric / Hydraulic / Pneumatic and PLC operated systems. A short summary of all tasks: • Read and understand client specifications. • Set up schematic, electric and constructional drawings for various projects. • Create various calculations for sizing the wellhead panel, accumulator capacity, reservoir sizing, power consumption and flow rates. • Selection of components for the project in such way to stay commercial attractive and maintain the high quality / reliability. • Project calculations, pricing for Wellhead/HPU systems, but also for field installations (all interconnections between the system and various valves). • Planning of the whole project. • Write manual documents, such as factory acceptance procedures, operating procedures etc. • Maintain contact with all suppliers for prices, agreements and also for new developments of components. • Maintain contact with client, but also with management, engineering and the workshop to bring the project to a successful end. Further I had some minor tasks within the company, such as: • Set-up and maintenance of the computer network. • Selection of new computers and accessories. • Selection of software, suitable for the company needs. • Create templates and calculation sheets to increase productivities within the company. • Programming of the PLC’s in case these are part of our scope (HIMA (Elop-II), Allen-Bradley (micrologics), Modicon) • Service on onshore and offshore locations (mainly on PLC operated systems). • Vocal support Point for clients in case of technical problems within the supplied equipment.
