Reporting to the State General Manager, in my capacity as Facilities Manager I held responsibility for 15 branches encompassing legislative compliance, maintenance, electrical, council relationship, contractor management, supplier agreements and safety. Above and beyond day to day operational management responsibilities, I was proud to have delivered; • Reviewed all Queensland supplier agreements, led negotiations with key suppliers leading to a cost reduction of $30k per year.• Developed and implemented facility audits supporting safety and maintenance compliance, and proactive maintenance rosters employed leading to external audit efficiency and improved safety and delivery outcomes.• Managed facility relocation and fit-out of multiple branches across QLD. Whilst projects had budget of up to $380K, the relocations provided efficiency gains and cost savings to make the branches profitable.• Managed branch build of the Bosso St Project in Mackay. Partnered with Builders and suppliers to deliver $40M new warehouse and service workshop, amalgamating three business units which supported teams to work more efficiently.• Managed the $15M Fairfield Head office project including fit-out and relocation of staff from the North Ryde office.• Led the change management project integrating the Joy Global business into Komatsu. Partnered with Joy employees, understanding concerns through change management protocols and building a strong communication strategy including writing newsletters and facilitating communication sessions with the teams. Reporting to the State General Manager, accountable for the construction and relocation to the $100 million dollar Wacol facility which is world class within the Komatsu brand. Managed contractors and suppliers to complete internal fit out of the three administration areas.• Project Managed the $100M Wacol facility project, from start of earthworks to completion leading to nomination and second place for the Brisbane City Council annual development award, for on time and on budget delivery of a world class facility.• Project Managed the people, infrastructure, computer assets and soft furnishings from five sites relocation to the new Wacol site with no disruption to the business operation.• Partnered with Workshop Managers to design efficient, ergonomic and practical workshop design, completed to optimise working areas.• Ensured internal office and meeting areas were completed and all power and IT equipment fully tested and documented to ensure fit for purpose.• Managed installation of Auxiliary plant, commissioned to manufacture specifications and then recorded and filed with the site’s manuals.
