Wally Bode
I met Michal when I started my role as Development Manager in Fit Invest (part of the Benefit Systems Group) and at that moment Michal was responsible for the operations and development of our Czech entity. In my and his role we frequently travelled to Prague and for me these trips were, definitely in the beginning, a part of my journey of getting to understand the fitness business. In this journey Michal contributed a lot to me building a better understanding of the specifics of this business. With his huge knowledge of the business he was way ahead of me but never did I feel any anxiety from his side having to help a rookie getting a better understanding. I have seen Michal in action in quite a few occasions during that time and where I got impressed with his direct and no-nonsense approach, huge energy level, knowledge and drive to get things fixed and improved without losing sight of for instance the people relationships. Also Michal never looked from only his personal perspective only but always focused on the team-effort and acted with a healthy dose of empathy. He easily communicated with the different levels in our organisation and also his contacts with external organisations were pleasant and professional. I really enjoyed working with Michal in trying to further professionalise our Czech operations and expand our business activities at the same time. Besides the hard working during our trips, during the after hours we spend quite some nice with interesting discussions during the evenings where Michal showed that he has a pretty wide spectre of topics for discussion which I personally enjoyed a lot. I perceive Michal as a very social and warm-hearted person with whom it is easy to work. In my opinion he is a good team player and has definitely an opinion of his own which he will share and discuss without being hard-headed. He is flexible where needed as well as standing his ground where required. All in all I can easily say I very much enjoyed working with Michal and can only give him my highest recommendation. I would enjoy working together again at any given moment.
