One of the biggest challenges in hybrid vehicle design is the complex modeling required to evaluate a design. Complex systems require dynamic results and adequate supervisory controls for each design change iteration. I am developing math models and supervisory controls in order to design a Plug-In Electric Vehicle (PEV or EV) that has hydraulic launch-assist and regenerative braking components.
