  RBS – Data MigrationMigration project with RBS in Brighton where My responsibilities included the migration of IDQ rules from 9.1 to 9.6.1, the development of the migrated IDQ rules as per the requirements in 9.6.1, validation of the IDQ rules as per business requirements & fixing all the issues in IDQ Rules in 9.6.1. I was on this project for a total of 9 months before completing and moving on. Carphone Warehouse – Single Customer ViewMy next project was with Carphone Warehouse in London where I continued to develop my skills and take on more responsibilities. The aim of the project at CPW was to create a Single Customer View and a data Warehouse solution. As the project had been going on for about 6 months before I joined a lot of the core development had been completed, so my main first responsibility was completing and producing test cases and raising defects in Jira. This continued along side with development for around 3 or 4 months until we moved into a QA environment. Here I took on the role of monitoring incremental runs of the workflows in PowerCentre as we had to eventually catch up which meant running 3 or 4 days with of data each day. With help from senior consultants on the project we eventually got everything working without faults and moved into a production environment. Once this phase of the project had completed we moved into monthly releases picking up development which was not in scope for the first main release and defects that had been moved into the backlog from the first phase. Along with this I assisted with PGLS of the production runs where I had to monitor runs daily and fix where possible any faults and raising issues with Remedy. This second phase of the project lead me to completing ETL development using Informatica Powercenter as per the design documents complete by the Architects as per the company standards using Netezza to sort tables and views used in the ETL.
