Member of the senior management team of the agency. Led and conducted assessments of all Australia's universities and private colleges (and their courses) against the Threshold Standards as well as monitoring continuing compliance with them, in order to protect students and enhance the quality of higher education in Australia. Transitioned into TEQSA from the Australian Universities Quality Agency (AUQA). Played a leading role over the years in the development of TEQSA's differentiated and risk-based assessment (audit) model. I provided extensive input into the development of new standards for the different categories of registration. Guided the development and integration of the strategic planning and quality systems in the lead-up to the AUQA review and supported the Vice-Chancellor to achieve the University’s strategic goals through a range of strategic projects.Achievements:* Developed the University’s top-level planning document ‘Strategy 2010’, which provided clear statements of overall objectives.* Developed a linked scorecard as the basis for organisational performance monitoring.* Principal architect of the University's innovation and entrepreneurship system: http://www.swinburne.edu.au/corporate/knowledge/* Brought about the integration of the University’s strategic planning, statistical analysis and quality management functions. * Developed guidelines for the systematic review of all faculties on a rolling basis, to achieve significant continuous improvement in the University's core business.* Conducted a quality review of the University and managed all other stages of the 2002 AUQA audit, which enhanced the reputation of the University and improved its quality processes.* Enhanced the standing of the University by proposing and managing the successful application for membership of the European Consortium of Innovative Universities, opening up unprecedented opportunities for student and staff exchange and benchmarking.* Developed set of cost drivers for the allocation of funding from HE and TAFE sources for the corporate departments.
