    • Graduate Research And Teaching Assistant
      • Aug 2021 - Dec 2022

Working closely with professionals in both industry and academia, I aided in the Geo-Institute's efforts to standardize geotechnical data transfer. My thesis focused on an extension to the Data Interchange for Geotechnical and Geoenvironmental Specialists (DIGGS) project in which ground improvement methods such as jet grouting and deep soil mixing were accommodated. I also acted as a teaching assistant for the Geotechnical Engineering course offered at UT Austin, instructing classes of ~15 undergraduate CE students on geotechnical lab procedures and applications. • Concrete, Masonry, and Asphalt Teaching Assistant
      • Mar 2020 - Apr 2021

I led laboratory-based activities for classes of 8-10 students, helping them recognize the real-world applications of both concrete and asphalt mixture design, testing, and placement. I hosted office hours allowing students to come and go as they please when seeking assistance on homework problems and laboratory calculations. As a teaching assistant during the transition to online learning during the pandemic, I had the opportunity to assist in optimizing the success of the class as instruction and laboratory activities moved to a remote format. • Geotechnical Engineering Intern
      • May 2020 - Aug 2020

Coming back for a second summer at ENGEO, I quickly found myself in a more advanced role as a returning intern. I was able to jump right back into the swing of things, conducting staff level tasks from the get-go. I had the opportunity of conducting more advanced field work such as soil sampling behind a drill rig and shoring methods testing, this year as the lead rather than a shadow. I also was able to be much more involved in further geotechnical and seismic-related investigations, such as calculating shear wave velocities and conducting liquefaction analyses. Show less

    • Engineering Intern
      • May 2019 - Aug 2019

As an intern at ENGEO, I was trusted with great responsibility right off the bat. I found success in approaching each day with a "never-say-no" mentality and took on as many responsibilities as I could handle. Working closely with the office staff and project engineers, I collected and reviewed samples and data, performed staff-level tasks in the office, and had the opportunity of logging 200+ hours of invaluable field experience. I also had the opportunity to work in the lab as strength, compaction, and seismic tests were run on various soil samples. Show less

As a side-job to make ends meet during my academic career, I completed nearly 750 orders, maintaining a cumulative rating of 4.9 out of 5 stars. I have patiently dealt with upset customers and long restaurant wait times, all while maximizing my profits by strategically selecting order routes and times.
