  During the summer with Khowutzun Forest Services, I was delegated with a variety of tasks to help create plans for the future of the Community Forest. In the field, I surveyed forest area for harvest block site plan, collected cutblocks' seedlings count and condition for silviculture and regeneration surveys, mapped out location infested with invasive plants for removal, and fire patrolling. In the office, I then had to record the collected data onto official documents for submission, used the data to assist outreaching during community workshop with the other community forests, and created a plant inventory for researching on the Cowichan tribe's historic medicinal and cultural usage of plants.
