Continuing on from my previous position I am now responsible for developing, maintaining and administering a cluster of servers for the AHG website. The change of platform to .NET from PHP for the website required new infrastructure which I designed and implemented. The new system uses TFS for version control, and uses MSDEPLOY to deploy builds to the Dev, UAT and Production environments. I am also required to develop new features for the site to keep it up to date and fix bugs should they arise. Show less

I was responsible for fixing customers computers and designing and building new PC’s. I was also required to operate the store-front as a sales assistant and be knowledgeable of the products in Austin Computers' range. My position at the Bibra Lake store was as an “all-rounder” although I spent most of my time servicing PC’s. I was responsible for fixing customers computers and designing and building new PC’s. I joined Extreme Tracking to manage an already running purchased server for GPS Tracking devices. I eventually wrote a new server for better compatibility and expansibility. The server incorporated many technologies and was written on the Microsoft .NET 3.5 framework and the data was stored on a MSSQL Server. The web front-end used AJAX and JavaScript to provide a rich user interface that was easy to use, yet powerful.
