I want Jony Ive to design all of my electronic gadgets, Warren Buffett to guide all of my investment decisions, and Michael Young to develop and lead all of my technology integrated marketing campaigns. The first two scenarios are, at best, highly unlikely. Fortunately, I actually know Michael, having worked under him in an agency setting. You will not find anyone better at crafting compelling stories that resonate with internal stakeholders, journalists, analysts and customers, and weaving those stories into successful campaigns that build brands, launch products and position executives as industry and business thought leaders. He balances the Big Ideas by setting goals tied to specific metrics that enable marketing, PR and social media team(s) to tie the results directly to pre-determined metrics such as increasing sales leads and requests for product demos. He's continuing to re-define what makes a successful integrated marketing campaign with his decision to co-found Actual, and I I look forward to following the work Actual will produce for its clients.
