In March 2019, I have the opportunity to be a Junior Team Canada Ambassador at the Arctic Youth Ambassador Caucus in Iqaluit, Nunavut. The caucus will consist of starting dialogues between youth from Southern and Northern Canada that address issues facing isolated Canadian communities and efforts in reconciliation.

Junior Team Canada Ambassador - JTC China 2018

I was one of twenty Canadian students who where afforded the opportunity to serve as ambassadors for Canada in international trade, whilst representing local Calgarian, and Canadian companies abroad on the 2018 Global Vision Junior Team Canada Trade Mission to China and Hong Kong. I was fortunate to partner with Enbridge, Bombardier Aerospace and Tourism Calgary. During the mission, we met with multinational Chinese companies, incubators and various members of government in the cities of Xi'an and Chengdu. We attended the 5th China-Canada Youth Economic and Cultural Exchange meeting. In addition, we worked closely with Canadian Trade Commissioners based in China, and in Hong Kong, I exclusively met with the Canadian Consulate and Alberta Government Office.

United Nations Association - Canada (UNA-Canada) Delegate to World Urban Forum 2020

I'm honoured to serve as a delegate on the 2020 United Nations Association - Canada delegation to the tenth World Urban Forum in Abu Dhabi, United Arab Emirates. Throughout the course of the Forum, I will be responsible for partaking in inclusive, multilateral dialogues and collaborative sessions to assess the current global urbanization in many centres. In addition, I will represent Canada in youth forum capacities and work with global counterparts to devise solutions to address safe and inclusive urbanization in terms of UN SDG 11.

In 2021, I was invited to speak at a corresponding webinar about my experiences as a youth delegate at the 2018 APEC Summit and 2020 World Urban Forum. In late 2020, I was fortunate to have been asked to provide contributions to a document created by the British Columbia Council for International Cooperation that offers guidelines for fair and equitable selection of youth for international delegations. Through Mount Royal University and the Cross Cultural Management INBU 2201 course, I completed the X-Culture training program. In the program, I was positioned in a global virtual team with members from China, Germany and Saudi Arabia to create a comprehensive business plan for large scale company. In this case, our assigned challenge was to write a new market entry plan for the Lake Louise Ski Resort. The recommendations and ideas derived from out report were delivered to the company upon completion of the course. The global virtual team dynamic was excellent real-world way to be trained in this cutting-edge form of business. I learned important skills that centre around cultural relativism, regional business practises and effective use of communication to avoid international language barriers.

In July 2019, I represented Alberta at the 2019 Duke of Edinburgh’s Award Passion to Purpose Summit in Wolfville, Nova Scotia. Whilst at the 6 day experience, I was able to learn what skills and resources I need to employ to make my project around veterans affairs a reality. Moreover, I had the esteemed privilege to learn about the passions of ninety two other young Canadian’s ideas and how they plan to implement programs in their respective communities. As Co-Marketing Lead for the SevenGen Indigenous Student Energy Summit, I promoted the event on social media and website platforms. In addition, I assisted in organizing logistics to facilitate uniting 200 indigenous youth from all across Canada to collaborate on future energy security issues. I graduated from the Royal Canadian Air Cadets in December 2017 after 6 years of service and attaining the highest rank in the program. I underwent professional development annually to grow skills in leadership, and was afforded many opportunities to be active in my community in citizenship efforts. I partook in activities including Effective Speaking, Biathlon, Marksmanship, Survival, Colour/Flag Party and Groundschool. I completed my Bronze, Silver and Gold level Qualifications of the International Duke of Edinburgh's Award. In 2015, I was awarded the Glider Pilot Scholarship to which I spent that entire summer training towards achieving my Transport Canada Glider Pilot Licence in Gimli, Manitoba. In 2016 I expanded on my flying skills completing my Private Pilot Licence at Super T Aviation Academy in Medicine Hat, Alberta. In 2017, I served as an ambassador for the Royal Canadian Air Cadet Program and Canada on the International Air Cadet Exchange in Belgium.
