Michael and I worked together over several years on multiple pediatric, hemophilia, global trials. He was one of the more memorable sponsor leaders I have worked with in my 17 years at a CRO, due to his personal and transparent style and partnership approach to our relationship. I recall the creative ways he connected a global, virtual team - methods that I also employ and have shared with others - and also his ability to diffuse intense, heated personalities. His presentation style with delivering scientific and operational study updates to Investigators and clinical teams kept all engaged. I highly recommend partnering with Michael in clinical research due to his expertise, sensibility, and leadership.

I had a chance and pleasure to work with Michael in 2013/2014 on a crucial phase III project for AOP Orphan within Polycythemia Vera indication. I was working as a full scope PM from CRO end and he was supporting me from the AOP’s end as Group Operational Lead/Project Manager. Our cooperation was very fruitful and orientated towards one goal – to make the project feasible and up and running especially taking into account significance, geographic range (13 countries) and importance of the project. Michael was always very open to implement any actions that were needed in order to keep the project on track. His main aim is to ‘deliver’ and find a mutual way to find a solution not to micromanage. His personal engagement and great organizational skills were great assets especially when sponsor’s input was needed and quick turnaround was a main focus. I am more than happy to recommend Michael abilities and confirm his professional skills within Clinical Trials Project Management realm. Should you have any questions or you need further reference I will be content to share more details. Best regards Piotr Bernat, PM, PharmD
