Also studied existing software asset to identify and proposed improvements in these areas. - Customer support: Analysed requirements received from a number of chipset customers worldwide including the world’s leading manufacturer of mobile phones. Analysed field testing issues identified by customers, covering all areas of modem operation. Identified specific errors and proposed and/or implemented fixes. - Error and issue analysis Analysed logfiles from internal lab testing and field testing, ranging from top-level analysis of the whole modem, to fine and detailed analysis of L2 behaviour. Where appropriate, solutions were proposed and/or implemented. - Tool development Devised and developed a variety of PC-based tools in order to simplify and speed-up the analysis of issues. The tools were mostly written in Perl, with some using C#. - Knowledge transfer and mentoring: Provided training covering the MAC and HSPA/HSPA+ asset to colleagues totalling over 25 hours.
