Hong Kong Sevens Operations Manager

Managed the successful delivery of the 2016 - 2018 Hong Kong Seven's throughout its event life cycle from conception to review through the effective coordination of all operational and logistical requirements. • Lead event planning on succession of World Class events and Continental tournaments including the Hong Kong Sevens, HKSEVENS Kick off Concert, HKSEVENS Festival, and Asia Rugby Sevens Olympic Qualifier. • Work closely with various Gov departments LCSD, HAB, HKTB, Police, FSD etc, World Rugby and other private venue corporations to ensure all events insurance, licensing and environmental obligations are adhere to. • Oversees in supervising and coordinating work of multiple contractors and stakeholders to deliver event requirements in line with timeframe and deadlines whilst maintaining supplier’s relationship. • Commercial negotiation of contracts and issue RFPs with suppliers to maximise HKRU interests and prevent overspend of event budget. • Management of sponsor’s relationships throughout event with contractual rights and negotiation. • Lead and manage security requirement for events and liaise with World Rugby, Police and LCSD to ensure players and public safety objectives are achieved. • Plan and manage budgets for the Hong Kong Sevens • Working with internal and external agency in creating and delivering the concept branding of the 2016 - 2018 Hong Kong Sevens. • Evaluate possible branding and social media opportunities in the view of maximising Hong Kong Sevens sponsorship and commercial potentials. • Management of event ticketing and accreditation system with supervising and delivering training to internal and external parties. • Oversee mass event staffing requirements, recruitment and supervision of their duties
