  Provided forestry related assistance to landowners by giving them general advice, cost share program assistance and inspections, insect and disease diagnosis and management recommendations. Created GIS maps for landowners as well as the forest health department. Gave several presentations annually to various government and non government organizations. In addition to being a field forester, I was also the District Forest Health Coordinator and served on the City of Statesboro Tree Board. Worked on projects in Montana, Florida, South Dakota, and served as a Field Coordinator in South Carolina supervising up to four employees. Used laptops with mobile GIS software along with Trimble GPS units to digitize power distribution grids and collect data. As a field coordinator I approved time sheets, conducted monthly safety meetings, assisted and resolved employee issues, and communicated regularly with the client on the progress of the project.   Worked on several Forest Inventory projects throughout Idaho and Washington state. Cruised timber using various methods from compass and pacing with pencil/paper to range finders and handheld data loggers. Used a relaskop to determine tree heights, diameters, and tree tally.
