For the past ten years, I have led the Great Oaks (GO) Foundation as it has recruited, trained and supported recent college graduates in a year-long Fellowship to intensively tutor and mentor students from low-income, urban communities. The best of those Fellows are recruited to participate in a Teacher Residency program to train to become effective classroom teachers through a partnership with NYU's and Relay's Schools of Education.
