Feasibility Study for In-Situ Remediation of Chlorinated Solvents in Groundwater • Developed several alternative solutions in accordance with Washington State code to reduce human exposure via institutional controls, treatment, and long-term monitoring. • Completed detailed cost estimate for each alternative solution. • Presented findings in a feasibility study presented to the client and overseeing government agency. Precision Dredging Construction Oversight • Observed dredging operations of contaminated sediment, placement of Enhanced Natural Recovery layer over dredge prism, installation of bank stabilization measures, and transload of contaminated sediment. • Issued daily field reports and photo logs to client and weekly reports to overseeing government agencies. • Utilized problem solving skills to ensure construction activities reduced risk of recontamination. Engineered Landfill Cap Construction Oversight • Acted as point of contact between project owner, designer, and contractor, including measuring pay items, leading weekly meetings, and issuing daily construction reports. • Implemented Construction Quality Assurance manual for installation of geosynthetic clay liner (GCL), geomembrane, landfill gas collection layer and piping, stormwater drainage layer, and final earth cap. • Utilized problem solving skills to effectively install GCL, drain stormwater, and install drainage layer. • Assisted drafting final construction report and as-built drawings for client.
