During a career that has spanned more than 25 years, Mr. Tague, led the design of many large-scale, multi-use developments for commercial and institutional clients, developed innovative solutions for senior-living and healthcare projects and made a significant contribution to JSA’s growing reputation as a first-class design firm. Examples of his work are found throughout New England, and across the United States. Mr. Tague’s design collaborations span a variety of different project types. From designing the Seacoast Community Campus-an innovative building designed for many of Portsmouth’s non-profits, to being the lead architect and designer for one of the four pilot projects under the United States Army’s Military Housing Privatization Initiative, and to lead the design of the latest prototype for Alzheimer’s care, Michael’s ability to listen to the client and develop quick, unique and sensitive design solutions set the stage for successful projects. As an Associate, directed staff of architects and intern architects to produce construction documents on various school renovation projects, private residences, and senior living facilities. Led the design direction on several hotels, residential and commercial projects. Provided quality assurance on a medium-sized senior living facility, ensuring coordination from the various consulting engineers, and the overall constructability of the project. As Project Architect led the construction document phase of a 250 room hotel with a seven-story atrium. Finalized the design development documents, developed and produced all technical details of the projects. Directed a staff of four to produce construction documents of various retail and hospitality projects.
