I teach a course on Anthropological approaches to ethnicity and nationalism with particular reference to the experience of Romany peoples. I also frequently run a summer school at CEU for graduate students working on issues linked to the lives of Roma in different parts of the world. There are, as of today, over five hundred graduates of this summer school. www.opencitydocsfest.com This is a festival that aims to put the festive back in the form - no red carpets, no VIP rooms - just a great place to come and celebrate the art and craft of documentary, join conversations around film with the filmmakers and others and share ideas with like minded people. With thanks to all our sponsors - and UCL in particular - without whom this would not be possible. www.opencitydocsfest.com This is a festival that aims to put the festive back in the form - no red carpets, no VIP rooms - just a great place to come and celebrate the art and craft of documentary, join conversations around film with the filmmakers and others and share ideas with like minded people.
