A collateral job I held in the Navy was maintaining and repairing the ships Xerox copiers which allowed me to work for the Xerox company repairing all the Mid Volume copiers in the Greater Boston area. These copiers were both analog and digital and ranged from making 7,000 copies a month to 185,000 copies a month. I was an integral team member as I was trained on all copier models to help all team members keep up with their workload and maintain a high degree of reliability in this product line.

After nearly two years of intense electronic schools, I spent four years on the USS Saginaw LST 1188 as one of two trained technicians responsible for the maintenance, preservation, repair and operation of the ships sole computer controlled weapon system for defense known as the Phalanx CIWS. This was a state of the art weapon system still used today as a defense against anti-ship missiles designed by General Dynamic Corporation. This job required extensive knowledge of a multitude of high tech test equipment while operating in a high pressure environment with the entire ships safety on the line. I left the Navy after six years with a honorable Discharge as well as a perfect 4.0 Performance Evaluation which is still in my possession.
