    • Cislunar Space Situational Awareness Analyst
      • May 2023 - Jul 2023

With renewed interest in lunar exploration and commercialization, there is a need for novel methods and algorithms to promote space situational awareness in the cislunar regime. This regime presents a variety of challenges including vast distances, unique exclusion zones, and chaotic system dynamics. This research effort is focused on the implementation and analysis of algorithms to process optical cislunar data products with a specific focus on data association, correlation, and state estimation. The research would support the data collection and processing for an anticipated AFRL flight experiment flying to the vicinity of the Moon in the near future. Show less

As a member of a Marine Special Operations Team, I deployed to Europe and Asia. I taught and advised various foreign militaries in tactical medicine and medical planning resulting in over 200 foreign nationals being certified in advanced tactical medicine. During the height of the COVID-19 pandemic, I coordinated humanitarian relief in a foreign country which led to the donation of over 100k in COVID-19 equipment and supplies. • Reinforcement-Learning AI Development for Competitive Space-Based Games
      • Jun 2022 - Aug 2022

This topic is centered on development of AI engines (primarily reinforcement learning approaches) to compete in a multi-player, competitive, zero-sum game involving space dynamics and space environment constraints, e.g. power, thermal, communications, etc. The project will involve co-opting or developing the game mechanics as needed; using openly available game engines and physics simulations to implement the game in a form suitable for play by computers; the development & training of AI engines using openly available development environments; the analysis of AI player performance against human players; and documentation of results via reports and/or technical papers. I spent three years at 3d Reconnaissance Battalion based out of Okinawa, Japan. During my time there, I participated in various exercises around the Pacific theater. As a subject matter expert, I lead training in tactical medicine in various countries while navigating cultural and language barriers. I also received advanced training in military freefall and completed Army Ranger School. I spent three years at 3d Reconnaissance Battalion based out of Okinawa, Japan. I worked in the Computational Stellar Atmosphere Lab developing algorithms to study rapidly rotating stars. I also assisted with merging FORTRAN with MPI to allow for parallel processing resulting in a reduction of runtime from 6 hours to 5 minutes.
