  In 1981 Mike moved into business sales taking a controlling interest in the well-known Ace Business Brokers company. He is now principal shareholder , director and Licensee-In-Charge. Since 1981 Mike has negotiated hundreds of business sales primarily in the "up to $20.0 million" selling price range and investigated 1000,s of others in retailing, manufacturing, wholesaling and service areas. Mike has been secretary/treasurer of The Australian Institute of Business Brokers for more than 14 years. He was recently made a Lifetime Member. In his capacity with the AIBB he has represented the interests of the association to Government particularly through The Dept of Fair Trading and TAFE. Mike also participated on the Project Steering Committee in the review of the National Competency Standards for his industry. He is the AIBB's representative on the Property Industry Council and a board member of The Australian Agency Academy, a Registered Training Organisation specialising in training for the Real Estate, Business Brokerage & Stock & Station Agent sectors. Mike regularly presents at business brokers conferences and is one of only a small number of fully qualified industry trainers in his field, having gained his Certificate 4 in Workplace Assessment & Training. Mike regularly provides extensive training to business brokers and regularly presents Business Valuation Principles training to business valuers via the Australian Property Institute.. Mike is also one of very few, who hold a Diploma in Property (Business Broking). As a member of the International Business Brokers Association based in Chicago Illinois Mike attends conferences in the USA to keep abreast of market trends.
