Teaching internship specialising in Maths and Engineering, I taught class sizes of 9-15, students aged post-16.Specifically taught CAD software AutoCAD, and applied mathematics at level 3 BTEC.Worked with secondary school students whose English was their second language, teaching Level 2 numeracy and basic ICT skills.Familiar with lesson planning and integrating unique activities into lesson regardless of age, for example, during my first teaching observation I taught ‘forces on an aircraft’ using paper aeroplanes to allow students to relate complex material to something they are familiar with that is simplistic.My method of teaching is to start from the absolute basics and build up from there, like the construction of a building, you start with the foundations.Experienced teaching students with dyslexia, ADHD and low English skills, and planned my lesson in a way to aid their impended difficulties by using coloured paper and handouts.
