Bio
Michael was a great mentor as I was beginning my new career in librarianship. I learned a great deal from him and he was always willing to field any questions I had. I especially appreciated Michael's approach to fostering relationships with faculty and the larger campus community. Michael's dedication to community service and library advocacy is something I hope to emulate as well. I enjoyed having Michael as a colleague and wish him nothing but the best.
"Michael was a Trustee for the Rockingham County Public Library. Soon after I became Director he became the Chair of the Trustees. I always found Michael to be highly motivated and dedicated to the library. His dedication was not only to our Library as a Trustee but also the Rockingham Community College and the library profession as well. He is always sending me information that is relevant to the library and offered insight and tools that helped me become a better manager and communicator of library needs to the Rockingham County Government. Michael continues to be a source of information and insight into the library even though he is no longer a Trustee. The thing I most appreciate about Michael is he is that he thinks before he acts or speaks. That is a quality that most people do not have. I think there is only one thing that overshadows his dedication to his profession is his love and dedication to his family."
