  As the primary engineer I designed both the hardware and firmware for the world's most cutting edge smart mouthguard. This IoT device utilised common technologies such as Bluetooth and a variety of sensors to measure biometric, impact and movement data. With the mission to make contact sports safer and to provide the most functional metrics to players and coaches, my time at Orb Innovations has been very rewarding.   At Tended I was a part of the system design of an industrial personal safety wearable. I worked in a small team to implement the system to demonstrate it's proof of concept. Working remotely, I selected hardware and wrote code using C++. I gained experience using the ARM Mbed development platform to rapidly develop a functional prototype. In addition I learnt in-depth about advanced global positioning technologies and some of the safety challenges on UK's National Rail network . I am proud that my work on this project contributed directly towards the winning of a major commercial contract. Show less

  At MOVUS I lead the re-design the FitMachine. This Industrial IoT sensor was used for condition monitoring of large cyclic machinery primarily for the purpose of predictive maintenance and reducing downtime. The focus of my role was to design an "EX" version of the sensor for use within explosive environments.
