It has been a pleasure to learn from, and collaborate with, Mike. His educational pedigree naturally speaks for itself, but his affability, patience, and communication skill put him into a class all his own. Further separating him from the pack are a natural on-camera presence and effortless educational skill. I can't say enough about his willingness and comfort as on-camera talent, reading a teleprompter, and taking direction. Further, I remain in awe of his intellect and ability to break down complex math into useable, helpful information. For my money, Mike is a true top talent in the financial education and data science space.

    • Managing Director, Research & Development
      • 2020 - Present

In my current role, I am responsible for identifying and capturing valuable business opportunities for the firm, with an emphasis on incorporating advanced technologies in the financial domain. My project portfolio is diverse and substantial: it includes designing a futures options pricing algorithm, developing code for enhanced content visualization, and pioneering a unique process for portfolio evaluation which eventually spun off into a standalone company. A more recent undertaking involved integrating AI and machine learning technologies into our content to enrich our offerings. Such initiatives have not only streamlined our operations but also amplified our technological capabilities, positioning us at the vanguard of industry innovation. Show less

    • Developer and Architect, Research Team's Internal Systems
      • 2014 - Present

I've successfully developed a comprehensive environment for the Research Team, leveraging the powerful capabilities of Amazon's AWS. This robust infrastructure provides seamless connectivity to dozens of APIs and integrates hundreds of models that I personally authored. Many of these models continue to underpin our operations, reflecting their enduring relevance and effectiveness even years after their creation. In this role, I've also designed and implemented a robust options backtesting system for the Research Team. This platform, in use since 2015, has demonstrated powerful capabilities and continues to support the team's rigorous testing and optimization of trading strategies. Show less
