I reported directly to Michael when I was an Analyst at Target. He’s an incredibly intelligent, passionate and talented leader. Michael managed the largest team of analysts and was the leader on many cross-functional projects that allowed Target.com to grow quickly. Reporting directly to Michael and working with him on numerous projects was rewarding due to his ability to motivate teams to work effectively and drive results. He’s as great of a manager for large teams as he is an individual mentor. I consider myself lucky to have worked with Michael and I highly recommend him for any role requiring great leadership skills. I'm more than confident that he'll succeed in anything he pursues.

Michael was the most honest, trustworthy, "go-to-bat-for-you" manager I have ever had the pleasure of working for. As a first-time manager of one of the largest businesses within Target.com, Michael had up to seven direct reports at one time. His ability to strategize, prioritize, motivate, and ultimately drive our team to deliver outstanding results speaks volumes about Michael's ability as a leader. Never one to stop learning and growing, Michael frequently solicited feedback from my colleagues and me to ensure that he was meeting our expectations and effectively establishing priorities. Furthermore, his honest and open communication style started building trust from day one and further added to the cohesion that our team felt after only a few weeks. I often found myself seeking out Michael for brainstorming sessions since I knew he would be honest with me about his thoughts. I never doubted that I would have his support for any endeavor I chose to undertake. I was extremely fortunate to have been a part of Michael's team, and I am confident that anyone who works with Michael in the future will feel the same.
