It is intended to be part of a child’s fitness program, bringing the skills of yoga closer to the level of a child’s interests, understanding and capabilities. Zoo Yoga was designed by Michael Paduano an international fitness presenter and yoga teacher. Michael has extensive experience working with children off all ages and capabilities including the deaf and hard of hard hearing. Zoo Yoga is a useful tool for parents, teachers and day care providers. It is a fun, energetic, and creative way for children to stretch and play, an imaginative exploration that is effective for children as they explore balance, strength and flexibility. Zoo Yoga has Michael demonstrating to children how to assume traditional yoga positions renamed and resembling positions of common animals interesting to children. The traditional yoga names are replaced with animals of Africa such as downward dog, that he uses as “African Wild Dog”

  PROFESSIONAL & PERSONAL SIGNIFICANCESI create time in my schedule to service the community. I have volunteered with Pegasus Riding Academy for the Handicapped. I spent time with their deaf and hard of hearing children with my knowledge of the deaf community and American Sign Language. I am a certified Pilates and Yoga instructor. I currently volunteer teaching yoga at Gilda’s Club in our desert cities for friends and family that have experienced cancer in their lives to help explore the journey. Physical and mental health and happiness is important to me, and I try to give back to the community. I have also served on the Windermere Foundation established in 1989 to help homeless and low-income families in the communities we serve. I have served as Vice Chairman of the California Association of Realtors Expo Advisory Leadership team in 2005 as we celebrated our 100th year anniversary. I currently serve on the the California Association of Realtors Legislative Committee, Local Governmental Relations Committee and Property Management.
