As an NCO, I trained young men and women for combat operations in the middle east. I directly supervised up to 20 Marines while in garrison and up to 10 Marines when in combat theaters. I am an Iraqi War veteran. As a Military Policeman I was a gate sentry and patrolman aboard Camp Lejeune responsible for the safety and well being of over 80,000 Marines, service members and their families. As a patrolman, I responded to many emergency situations as well as being recognized for generating the most self initiated reports during my tenure. I was awarded the Navy and Marine Corps Achievement Medal for my work with the Camp Lejeune Provost Marshal's Office as a Lance Corporal. As a Heavy Equipment Mechanic, I was taught proper HE vehicle maintenance from first echelon repairs to fifth echelon repairs. As a Corporal, I was in charge of Tool Room Inventory as the Tool Room NCO. I was responsible for the maintenance and upkeep of the resources used for repairing my unit's HE equipment in Okinawa, Japan. I was directly responsible for managing approximately $1 million in parts Inventory and tools. I was also directly responsible for improving the system in which Resources were allocated and reduced the units' fraud waste and abuse liability substantially. By re-cataloging, re-prioritizing and re-categorizing which resources were assigned to projects or to the individual Marines' tool boxes based on actual need, we were able to boost the Marines' readiness for field operations while reducing the number of tools the Marines were responsible for.I was the Quality Control NCO as a Sergeant at Camp Lejeune, NC. My responsibilities were to identify descrepancies in the HE equipment readiness, to coordinate the repairs with the Maintenance unit, inspect gear returning from maintenance to adequately assess repairs rendered and readiness for immediate combat/field excercises. I was ultimately responsible for the readiness of all HE equipment in the Company.
