  Responsible for the valuation of all Run of Mine production recovered from both the Ghaghoo diamond mine in Botswana and the Letsêng diamond mine in Lesotho. Key responsibilities include:  Manage the Sales and Marketing tender office in Botswana. Core functions: - Prepare all diamond production for client sales. - Sorting all rough diamonds into sales categories based on colour, cut, clarity and carat weight. - Valuation of entire production to determine reserve prices for sale. - Marketing, presentation and packaging of parcels for sale. - Manage and strengthen all client relations pre and post-sale. - Preparation of all documentation (invoices, packing lists, Kimberley Process Certificate) for export to clients. - Liaison between all relevant stakeholders (Courier company – Malca Amit, Diamond Office, Government Diamond Officials).  On site mine valuations pre-sale to determine initial value of production for cashflow forecasting, insurance and Kimberley Process Certificate requirements.  Responsible for the valuation and pricing of the Letsêng production to the value of c.$20 million to $40 million per cycle ($1500 - $2300 per carat).  Responsible for the valuation and pricing of the Ghaghoo production to the value of c.$2 million to $4 million per cycle ($145 - $175 per carat). Key successes in this role include:  Setting up of the company “Gem Diamonds Marketing Botswana” for the sale of diamonds from Ghaghoo mine in Botswana which included: - Design of the sales and marketing offices and viewing rooms. - Management of all contractors during the construction phase ensuring project timeline and budget allocation were achieved. - Procurement of all furniture and equipment.  Developed the sales assortment categories for the sorting, pricing and marketing of the Ghaghoo diamond production to maximise potential sales revenue.  Successfully managed and sold seven (7) Ghaghoo productions on tender before the mine was placed on care and maintenance.   An integral and key role within the Government of South Africa’s structure to ensure that all diamonds (both Rough and Polished) exported from or imported into South Africa are inspected and valued with the purpose of determining a Fair market value as per the Diamond Act legislation. Key responsibilities include:  Manage and maintain good stakeholder relations with all diamond producers within South Africa which include major mining companies such as (De Beers, Petra Diamonds, Trans Hex and State mined enterprises such as Alexkor).  Ensure legislative compliance by all diamond mining companies to offer 10% of their production to the State diamond Trader for purposes of local beneficiation.  Training and development of licence holders as part of black empowerment development and corporate and social responsibility.  Ensure correct values have been placed on diamonds declared for export so that relevant State levies can be charged. Critical in ensuring that values are not understated to pay a lesser Tax value.  Value all diamonds imported into the Republic of South Africa to ensure import credits are calculated correctly.  Provide a key service to the South African Police department to value all diamonds confiscated through illegal activities to determine the value of the goods retrieved and provide sworn affidavits regarding the valuation outcome.  Testify in the Court of law if summoned with regards to all affidavits provided to the Police services to assist in the prosecution of criminals involved in illegal diamond dealing. Key successes in the role include:  Designed, developed and implemented an internal “Price Book” for the South African Diamond and Precious Metals Regulator to allow for accurate and consistent pricing of all diamonds yielding quicker valuations and turnaround time of reporting statistics.
