      After doing some consulting work for the Georgia TOTA, I was offered a Board Member position. The organization is dedicated to providing accurate information about all of Georgia's tribal people. The organization partners with the Georgia Department of Education to provide accurate information for the curriculum of Georgia schools, K-12.       Last weekend (March 2, 2018) I attended my first North Carolina Association of Historians' meeting at Western Carolina at Cullowhee, NC. Met some great folks and joined their state History society. I have just been offered a Member-At-Large seat with the NCAH. So thrilled to be working with these great folks!       Member in Georgia Association of Historians since 1994. Advised to join GAH by the late Dr. Edward J. Cashin, noted historian of Colonial Georgia and author of numerous books on same subject. I was offered a member-at-large position in the GAH in early 2014. In 2017, I returned to being a regular member of the GAH, albeit Life Member. In February 2023, I was voted President-Elect of the GAH. Member in Georgia Association of Historians since 1994. Advised to join GAH by the late Dr. Edward J.       I was asked to accept a membership on the Executive Board of the South Carolina Historical Association to serve from 2014-2017. I am a past editor for the SCHA History Journal, "The Proceedings". I edited three editions of the Journal when I was an historian at USC-Aiken. On, March 9, 2019, I became the President of the SCHA, an organization that dates back to 1931. My job was to preside over the organization and help the new Vice-President plan the 2020 meeting in Columbia, South Carolina. My successor took over on March 14, 2020. Show less
