The climb, building up your pipeline from scratch on day 1, is one of the hardest parts of being a new sales rep. Some never quite make it and get lost in the first 6-7 months of onboarding. From day 1 I knew that would not be Michael. He arrives an hour earlier than anyone else and is hitting his contacts on the east coast to drum up interest. He has all the fundamentals for good outreach and knows how to get that next meeting. He is someone you depend on, sometimes because you have to, but mostly because you know you can.
