      * One of the UKs first PFI schools, I have spoken at PFI conferences on the implications of PFI funding to schools. * The school was awarded Performing Arts Specialist status from September 2005. * Published a Case Study about Workforce Remodeling Spoke at a conference on how we were approaching the introduction of Teaching and Learning Responsibilities (TLRs) which replaced Management Allowances from January 2006. The school’s model was seen as good practice and the process and job descriptions were shared across Essex. I served on the Local Education Authority Workforce Remodeling working group. * Member of the Local Education Authority ‘School Improvement and Best Practice’ working group * Instituted a School Self-Review cycle to inform the School Improvement Plan. Spoke at a conference on our approach to self-review and shared relevant documents with colleagues via the Association of Secondary Head Teachers in Essex (ASHE) website * Having pioneered a KS4 (14-16) curriculum for disaffected students, this became a model for the 6 local secondary schools to form a consortium. * Oversaw the expansion of our curriculum to offer all KS3 (11 -14) students a GCSE (KS4) course and KS4 students 12 new Options and introduced Vocational Diplomas from September 2008 * Chairman overseeing the establishment of a Local Delivery Group which coordinated Extended School (8am – 6pm) provision and multi-agency work (to meet the needs of our most vulnerable students and families) across the district (6 secondary and 26 primary schools).
