I have known Mike for approximately 5 years, enjoying a personal and professional relationship as friend and supervisor. Mike is a gifted leader, who acts as a servant and/or mentor to those he is tasked with directing in the work environment. I was very fortunate to observe some of Mike’s servant-leadership abilities. He is not afraid to ask questions and anticipates difficulties when given a task, not because he is being negative but to achieve his task more effectively and understand more accurately what is being asked of him. He’s not afraid of finding success for others nor out to serve his own interests. Mike is always serving the interests of others. You will find Mike in situations where without being pushy he seeks to have others make a decision. You will find Mike not to be intrusive but assertive and firm when reaching an agreement. Very decisive, and committed to accomplishing the purpose of the tasks that is assigned to him, he does not waste time; he is never keen about delaying things. Although he is persistent, he is careful not to force his way into a situation. He completes what he sets out to do. He always makes sure his staff is prepared and equipped to complete projects, and offers support where needed. Mike is a valued asset in his profession and adds experience and expertise to every role he assumes in his career. Mike has received my highest respect and he’ll earn yours too.
