Head of Print Dept.
-
Mar 2010 - Dec 2012
• Restructuring the Production; As the company grew bigger we realized that we had to specialize more in what we do and this was the point where I was asked to become Head of a whole department (14-18 people). As I felt somehow responsible for any Print production before I took the challenge to focus on management topics and leave the creative stuff (with exceptions) temporary behind:• Strategic Lead• Budget & Controlling• Research & Development• Hardware/Software Supply• Ressource MGMT• Production Coordination• Consulting• Recruiting• Estimations• Restructuring in July, 2011; I decided to restructure the Department by introducing Teams & Teamleads (accompanied byh variuos Seminars & Workshops)• Seminars/Workshops: - Leadership Seminar by c³ Silke Hillebrand, Recruiting, Time Management, MS Office Workshop, various internal Software workshops.

• After things in Brussels were set up smoothly I decided to move back to Munich for personal reasons. I got integrated into my old Team again and was still acting as Lead Artist on projects for various clients.• Co Teamlead; regarding my experience in Brussels I got introduced as a Co-Teamlead and was able to get in touch with some management topics and organisational stuff as well. Also I took chance to gain some leadership experience/skills and felt happy to get deeper into the company RTT itself.

• Lead Artist at TME projects; we managed to convince the client on a very early stage that CGI is the Future in print due to great results. In cooperation with Saatchi&Saatchi Design and various photographers we developed & created most of the CGI content for TOYOTA. RTT decided to set up an office in Burssels to get closer to TME and I took the chance to get more into the car business itself besides CGI.• Office startup; Starting with a few colleagues we developed the office structure therefore ensured a very close cooperation with TME Headquarters. • Workflow development; Our team developed special Layering Workflows for CGI images (especially Interiors) for TOYOTA productions• First tocuh with analog Studio Shootings; As we were part of TME we were able to observe several Studio Shootings for TME and also had the chance to get in touch with all prototypes long before productions. As a result I received a huge gain of knowledge in Shootings & Automotive (Product) knowledge.

• Generalist for various customers; Starting as a trainee I jumped into several projects. e.g. complete Interior modelling for Ferrari, Lighting/Shading of Exteriors (MentalRay), Rendering and rough compositing (Film&Print).• Focus on Print; I developed my skills for print productions at a very early stage as I love to get creative in photoshop and i like the details in High Res Productions. So my specialization continued until I was able to do Studios/Locations as well as Interiors or Exteriors for all clients so far.
