CEO/Director/Deputy Chairman

Jul 1995 - Dec 2004
Hands on role in the privatisation of a government utility to its evolution to Harvey Water (www.harveywater.com.au) the first privatized irrigation scheme in Western Australia with assets at time of handover of $85M. Harvey Water is now held as a prime example for COAG water reform. I was inaugural CEO, a founding Director/Shareholder, served as Deputy Chairman (July 1996 to February 2002), member of the Audit Committee (July 1996 to February 2002) and the Disputes Resolution Committee (July 1996 to December 2004). My involvement was initially in the negotiation with Government, the Water Corporation and relevent regulatory bodies, evaluation of the proposed corporate structure, and input and assessment of the financial modelling of the proposal. The role evolved to include effecting change in corporate culture, redefining roles of employees, improvement of communication with stakeholders, development and implementation of policy and on-going promotion of the business Secured irrigator water rights as a separate asset to land rights.
