I worked with Mike at Sapphire Technologies. Mike was in Sales while I was in Recruiting. I would often work on Mikes roles. He was always very easy to work with and very knowledgeable about his positions and current status and worked hard to continue to give up-to-date feedback. Mike is also a great person to be around.       My role was to recruite contract technical candidates by proactively building a database (I ended with just over 250 candidates) as well as reactively finding them for our clients’ openings. I did this by utilizing job boards (Monster, CareerBuilder, CE Weekly, etc.), LinkedIn, referrals, and working with 3rd party staffing agencies. I also kept up to date on the employment activity of companies which use similar skillsets as our clients. The type of skills I looked for varied across the board, including Mechanical, Electrical, Quality, and Manufacturing Engineers.       I began my time at Sapphire as a National Accounts Manager, working with some of the largest accounts in the company to help fill their technical needs (Engineering, IT, etc.). I worked with the vendor management services onsite at these accounts, as well as with the hands on managers who had the job openings. My main duties were to grow the accounts by finding more contacts within these organizations while maintaining the business already there. While being constant, the flow of positions varied greatly from one client to another. Following the sale of Sapphire (from Vedior to Randstad), my role changed into that of a Corporate Delivery Specialist.
