I lead the human factors team in integrating user needs in new product development at Insight to design products that are intuitive, safe, and allow users to meet their goals and needs effectively. I am a steadfast advocate of the user and work closely with the many different design and development professionals it takes to create products that reflect this viewpoint. Our team employs strategically selected human factors methods and techniques at different points along the design and development process. These include, but are not limited to, contextual inquiry, heuristic evaluations, formative and validation usability testing, risk analysis of use error, anthropometric analysis, and biomechanical evaluations. I specialize in medical devices and work with many global manufacturers on a variety of products for hospital and in-home applications.
