We build technology, credit products and educational experiences that haven't existed before for the credit-challenged. Our mission is to provide anyone with a path to better financial health. We believe in ladders, not chutes. My primary responsibility at LendUp is to build, maintain, and improve our loan underwriting machine learning models. Increasing the reliability and accuracy of our loan default risk assessment is a critical component of our business, as it enables profitable growth for our company while at the same time ensuring that we don't expose our customers to irresponsible financial risk. Improvements to our risk models come through integration of new data sources, novel feature engineering and selection processes, and modeling algorithm improvements. I strive to push the boundaries in all of these aspects.
