Executive Director of Corporate Retreats and Experiential Education Program
-
Jan 2016 - Present
After overseeing and directing Zion Ponderosa Ranch Resort as the General Manager for11 years, I recommended a management change with the Resort. In doing so, I was askedto remain with the resort, developing and organizing a sales position for large corporate andeducational groups to bring their constituents and students to the resort for corporate retreatsand educational seminars. This position and concept was new to the resort and required myadvanced educational learning concepts and organized sales initiatives to build a strong programin attracting these clients with a detailed learning and team-oriented agenda. Incorporatingexperiential education, “providing an outdoor recreational learning experience”, I am able todistinguish Zion Ponderosa Ranch Resort as one of the very unique outdoor learning andachievement resorts in America. Under my direction, Zion Ponderosa Ranch Resort has beenawarded one of the top 6 adventure resorts in America by U.S. News and World Report.Corporations and educational groups from all across America now understand the value ofteam-oriented programs and learning opportunities through outdoor recreational adventures. Founder / CEO

Jun 1989 - Jan 2001
Created and incorporated a multi-recreational resort named Lone Eagle Resort and Lone Eagle Whitewater. Personally managed all departments within the two corporations as C.E.O. As acting president and principle stockholder I directed and made decisions as to the financial security of the corporations and satisfaction of the customers and employees. The corporations were established in 1986 with very little capital or financial backing. With a commitment of hard work, and a vision of understanding customer relationships and financial prudence both corporations grew rapidly. In our first year of whitewater rafting, our staff of 5 employees totaled 642 customers for the summer season. Five years later, our staff of 140, serviced over 20,000 customers per year in the Snake River corridor. Our financial assets and responsibilities grew as well. The monies generated from our services exceeded well over one million dollars per summer season. With sound financial decisions, Lone Eagle Resort and Lone Eagle Whitewater were able to capture well over $100,000 for yearly improvements and additions. Lone Eagle was responsible for generating over 6 million dollars in tourism within the Jackson Hole area. Show less
