The project was full of uncharted waters with new information routinely surfacing. Utilized my collaboration skills to obtain information from numerous people on various teams.  Enabled real-time visibility for DCI franchise data submissions by separating file receipt tracking from the ETL processes.  Enabled dynamic service level agreement (SLA) customization for franchise follow-up.  Enabled queries to run 50 times faster by designing, creating, and populating a star schema POC database that could replace a third normal form database.  Preserved security standards to prevent criminal intrusions and made the necessary code changes. Participated in audits for data security.  Enhanced flexibility, speed, responsiveness, and accuracy by instituting software and database design improvements.  Maintained data availability by analyzing causes of production failures and restoring production.   PL/SQL, SQL*Plus, SQL, and Korn shell ETL and back-end portions of the same Data Warehouse system for DCI that I worked on at Discover  Greatly increased DCI data timeliness, changing international franchise data submissions from sporadic to daily by designing, coding, and implementing a comprehensive addition to the ETL system, tracking submissions, and ensuring the reception of correct data on time and in the proper order.  Further increased DCI data timeliness by integrating ETL file submission tracking into a system to track errors in data submissions, immediately notifying submitters of errors and lateness in their submissions.  Three simultaneous subprojects in a massive project to migrate the Diners Club U.S. card management mainframe systems, supporting conversion to MasterCard acceptance and account numbers: reworked the outgoing data feed processes; created conversion data for a user application; wrote a procedure to transmit on-line credit card applications.
