Contracted as a stage 3 rigger as part of a 10 man team to assist with vessel establishment/loading, to then sail to location for the removal of decommissioned satellite platforms in the North Sea. Responsible role involved securing lower rigging to platforms to then connect to the upper rigging directly off our heavy lift tug for lifting on completion of the final cutting stage and transport back to the beach for deconstruction. My responsibilities included rope access safety, confined space entry set up and rescue standby for the various contractors involved with the activity. Further responsibilities included various lifting activities for the purposes of inspecting pipe work as well as gasket replacements on spools&valve change outs.
