Initially a Devops/Data engineer working on AWS cloud infrastructure and applications, I have since transitioned into the API/Microservice space as a Senior Software Engineer. My day to day work includes heavy use of the Amazon cloud, Jenkins and Chef for automated deployments, and Splunk/ELK to monitor our applications. My passion is introducing serverless architecture into legacy spaces to reduce cost and modernize core platforms to be truly event-driven. I worked on a team of 4 on Data Aggregation and Analytics, utilizing SQL heavily on databases with billions of rows. While focusing on efficiency and speed of my queries, I also became proficient in data visualization and user-focused development. For the front-end of my aggregation I used both Tableau and Qlik View, for both real-time and archive-based data mining.
