I worked with Michael at Direct Energy where he managed our gas structured products team concentrating primarily on asset management agreements and capacity releases. I have never worked with anyone as knowledgeable in the gas industry as Michael. Whether it’s regarding how each of the eastern gas pipelines operate or how to value financial derivatives related to physical assets and traded instruments, he has complete industry expertise. He is a tireless worker who is always upbeat and positive, with a can-do attitude. Overall he is someone I really enjoyed working with and would highly recommend in any commercial gas role.

While I was at VPEM Michael structured numerous creative deals by considering all value components and risk factors before completing a thorough analysis. He valued transactions from The Rockies to the East Coast and as far South as the Gulf Coast. Michael is an innovative thinker and tireless worker which allowed us to submit the most accurate bids to provide us the best chance for success at profitable deals. He has excellent commercial instincts and a solid track record of precise valuations. Michael was always honest and straight-forward about potential obstacles which made him a significant contributor and effective role player. He was always dedicated and I confidently recommend him to any energy marketing team.

Developed markets for Mobile Gas Solutions: RNG, CNG, LNG (renewable natural gas, compressed natural gas, liquefied natural gas) which was delivered via non-traditional-pipeline methods when and where needed through innovative portable pipeline systems. Expanded XNG’s market share and footprint throughout the Eastern US, Eastern Canada and the Pacific Northwest while creating value for customers by:1) reducing client’s carbon footprint through CO2 emission reductions of 15%-50%;2) enhancing the resiliency and reliability of fuel supply for industrial manufacturers and institutions of all types (including universities and hospitals) by diversifying their fuel mix;3) saved customers 20% to 40% of unnecessary fuel expense through optimization of their supply portfolio by enabling access to the lowest cost fuel;4) enabling cogeneration installations to decrease electricity costs and consumption while reducing dependence on a centralized power grid;5) nurturing the growth of vital emerging markets for Low carbon, Zero carbon and Negative carbon gases which are easily transportable and storable for thermal, electric and feedstock applications;6) contributing to the responsible management and transportation of methane (a critical component of the bridge to our clean energy future).
