Dr Hennigan was my physician at Baptist Healthcare. The proof is in the numbers and my A1C numbers went from 12+ to 7.8 in under 6 months while seeing Dr Hennigan. He took the time to listen and understand my needs as a patient. I have been diabetic for over 20 years and my A1C has not been this low in over 15 years. I have seen about 3 different endocrinologist in Pensacola over the last 7 years and Dr Hennigan is the first one that did not rush me out of the door with an order to take more insulin and lose weight... which seems like an oxymoron to me. Dr Hennigan helped me to understand how to take insulin more effectively so that I did not have to continue to add more insulin to my regimen. He is an integral part in my continuing success over diabetes and I recommend him to anyone I come across that discusses being diabetic with me.

Mike is a very experienced clinician with a significant and practical knowledge of treatment of diabetes in primary care. He is an extremely dependable team player, who is willing to go an extra mile to support the project. His broad knowledge and nuanced understanding of science is absolutely amazing.
John Beard
Michael and I served together on the AQAF Board and share a committment to improving the quality of services to our fellow Alabamains afflicted with Diabetes. Michael is a great advocate for a more patient-centered approach to addressing the needs of those he cares for in his practice. We share the common belief that the traditional high cost of Diabetes as measured in terms of human suffering and financial expenditures can be reduced though changes in the care delivery model.
