Responsible for the Project Management and Reporting of over 43 live, pipeline and closedown project in both the BAU and IT space. The driver behind many of the projects is to ensure the business unit remains legally compliant in a complex financial environment and stay within ever changing Government regulations whilst divesting a challenged financial Irish institution. To plan and manage this quantity of projects and produce meaningful management reports with the number of resources available I have produced several key automated tools. The business requires a high level of sensitivity with many of the projects being under Non-Disclosure Agreement control. The PM/planner function requires engagement with multiple Projects and Project Managers ensuring all Management reports are completed on time and to the most efficient level. Excellent stakeholder communication is required to obtain and provide updates in a highly-pressured environment and produce meaningful live data quickly.Central point of contact for updating common SharePoint sites across grouped projects/programmes and ensuring group controls and finances are maintained and up to date. Also, the central point of control for updating Project reports and ensuring Programme RAID information is properly managed and communicated. Show less

A 'Player-Manager' role to plan the Disaster Recovery systems in place between two major European Data Sites.Due to the complexity of the legacy systems, good planning and project skills were needed to complete the work on time and within budget. As well as delivering a DR solution I was instrumental in considerably improving upon the original scope by Virtualising the server estate in both environments.

    • Service Resource Manager
      • Jan 2010 - Jul 2010

The role was to ensure all Service elements were captured and implemented during a critical integration rollout in the Insurance Division. The integration project would provide the blueprint for further integration work so it was critical to ensure a repeatable process was created and documented.I maintained a project plan for my own work stream which fed weekly into the PMO master plan. Accurate planning and good project management processes were required in this very 'flux' environment.I also worked closely with the PMO to produce system tools which linked Microsoft Project with other Microsoft products to provide time saving and uniform reporting. I managed a BT team which resided on the customer site (NHS) to act as a first point of contact and to assist the NHS suppliers connect into the pre-live external test environments. My role as the semi-technical Integration Manager was to ‘face off’ to the customer for any issues and/or defects and to provide an initial escalation point into BT. At times very political and always challenging the position required a high degree of knowledge, confidence and excellent communication skills. During two and half years I transformed the support team from a reactive, ‘fire-fighting’ department into a pro-active service delivery department which handled magnitudes more activity than previously. Some of my major objectives and achievements were as follows :- - Planned upcoming work and report successes, risks and failures at weekly planning meetings. - Created full suite of Health checks (RAD Views) to assist with the proactive management of the test environments.Manage and strengthen team of 11 highly technical individuals, increasing the depth and breadth of responsibilities. - Remotely manage Bridge team (24x7 Operational staff) for all path to live environments. - Converted a failing customer relationship into a mutually beneficial, workable one. - Kept BT management appraised of upcoming ‘political’ issues - Liaise and assist NHS suppliers with connectivity issues to resolution Show less
