QS and asst. site manager • Provide cost to complete estimates of variations Overview of duties as procurement manager: • Provide tendering and cost analysis of material and sub-contract quotes to a consistent and professional standard • Carry out negotiations with suppliers and sub-contractors to ensure maximum value for money against benchmark budgets • Achieve cost reductions through specification changes, national deals, solus agreements and rebate schemes • Liaise closely with Technical and Production depts. in conjunction with suppliers to facilitate specification changes • Communicate with all internal customers in the performance of cross departmental workload • Place all material, plant and sub-contract orders accurately and in a timely manner • Attend a range of meetings and action all relevant points • Assist in the resolution of any invoice queries and act as lead buyer on all bespoke projects • Ensure all works are carried out in compliance with the framework agreement and comply with the company commitment to HSE issues and green policy
