It is no surprise that Michael has dived in and started his Masters this year, he has a thirst for learning and an infectious enthusiasm! In my role as Finance, Facilities & Resources Manager at Fulham Cross Academy Trust from August 2017 – March 2020, Michael worked across two teams which I had overall responsibility for: • Learning Resources Office – Processing of resources and stock taking for whole school printing and display, maintaining department budgets for printing, producing display and teaching resources, photography for school events, production of materials for staff training, processing of confidential meeting documents and production of school open day materials. • Site Team – Ensuring whole school sites were safe for staff, students and visitors, ensuring the school was presentable and welcoming to all, minor decoration and maintenance fixes, and assisting the site manager with compliance matters such as regular testing. • As part of both roles, Michael partook in staff training on Child Protection, HR, GDPR, Health and Safety and Codes of Conduct. Michael passed all statutory staff training tests required as part of these inset training sessions. The Trust comprised of two Secondary Schools for 11-16 year olds and an Enterprise Studio for 16-18 year olds. The schools were on separate sites with multiple buildings. Michael was required within both roles to work across all sites within the Trust on a rota basis, and also covered for absent staff at short notice within the relevant departments. Michael has an excellent attitude to work and through his adaptability to work in two very different departments, he demonstrated maturity and flexibility in managing varying tasks. Michael was required to step in and manage the department as cover. Michael was able to develop his own routines and procedures for the department ensuring that service to the whole school was not disrupted. Michael trained a new member of the Learning Resources Office team in the assistant role, providing her with a full induction to the department. Michael works well on his own initiative, ensuring that tasks are completed in full and meets deadlines. Equally Michael works well with others and is a real team player. He is always keen to develop himself and learn new skills. During the time that I managed the departments which Michael worked in, he was always open to new opportunities and enjoyed liaising with other departments and learn more about what their purpose was. This enthusiasm for continuing personal development was a great attribute, and I would have no hesitation in employing Michael in any role as I believe he would adapt to anything really well and very quickly. Michael has an outstanding attendance and punctuality record.
