Michael is a very dedicated, energetic worker. He can multitask seamlessly and stay focused on the main issues to achieve results for his constituents. Michael is a well rounded person, equally at home in the office setting, dealing with peers and superiors, and on the athletic field. He is a definite asset to any company he is a part of.

Over the last two summers, I have worked with the Danville Braves in many capacities. Mainly working and controlling all the Trackman data for the team and visiting teams. During my time in Danville, I have had to step into many different roles to help with day to day operations. Working with a small organization like Danville, everyone has to step up and help out in in capacity necessary throughout the weeks of the season. In my role as a Business Education Teacher, my goal is to make an impact with every student that walks in my classroom. I teach three course to 6th, 7th, an 8th grades. The first class is Computer Applications where we spend a lot of time working on creating Microsoft Office projects in Word, Excel, PowerPoint, and Publisher. We also use this time to focus on basic keyboarding skills. When students finish this course they are aware of how to type quickly and accurately. The second class is Career Decisions, which is only offered to 6th and 7th graders. This class gives students the chance to match their personalities to a career. During the time they spend in this class they will gain a better understanding of what type of job they want and what kind of money they can expect to make in that career. The third class is Exploring Business, Marketing, and Entrepreneurship. This course is only offered to 8th graders and takes what they learned in Career Decisions and puts it into perspective to the real world. We study the different types of business and also whether that business is a product based or service based company. Also, we look at basic marketing concepts such as the 4 P's (Product, Place, Promotion, Price) and other strategies to writing a marketing plan. Lastly, we look at the challenges associated with becoming an entrepreneur and if planned correctly, the successes. Show less
