  As the Manager Technical Support Services I am responsible for 7 direct reports and 95 technical resources across Brisbane, Richmond (Sydney) and Edinburgh (Adelaide) in support of the MRH Taipan, ARH Tiger, C130J Hercules, P3 Orion and P8 Poseidon aircraft platforms. I am responsible for the delivery of 6 key Support Engineering (SE) functional capabilities – Maintenance Requirements Determination (MRD), Technical Publications, Logistics Requirements Modelling (LRM), Reliability and Maintainability (RAM), Configuration Management and Technical Assessing – in order to support the Continuing Airworthiness of the 5 aircraft platforms.

  During my tenure as the Manager MRH Technical Services (TS) for the MRH90 Multi Role Helicopter program, I have been responsible for up to 50 ILS staff across six key functional disciplines – Maintenance Requirements Determination (MRD), Technical Publications, Logistics Engineering, Configuration Management, Technical Assessing and Technical Support – in order to deliver services in support of the Continuing Airworthiness of the MRH90 platform. In addition, as the Cost Account Manager (CAM) for Cost Centre 430 (ILS / CM) I have been responsible for the management of an annual multi-million dollar labour and materials budget across the MRH Acquisition and Through Life Support programs.As the Manager MRH Technical Services I have implemented a number of critical Business Improvement (BI) project streams including the Deployable Kit List Automation, Enovia Technical Data List / Index Data Cleanse, Petrol Oils and Lubricants (POL) Harmonisation, and a medium term strategic project for an expanded Local IETP Production Capability in order to reduce the Human Machine Interface (HMI) risk of PDF supplementation over XML Data Module revisions. I have successfully re-established a dormant OPUS10 spares optimisation modelling capability, refined the processes for in-service management of key Support and Test Equipment (S&TE) items across the MRH fleet, and implemented an ongoing monthly ‘Tools Down Day’ program for each TS discipline to foster an enduring focus and commitment to customer feedback and continuous improvement initiatives.

• MRH Technical Support Coordinator

  As the Technical Support Coordinator for the MRH90 Multi Role Helicopter program I was responsible for the project management of key Technical Services Lean and Continuous Improvement projects.During my time in this role I successfully implemented Project RC Stream 4A – IETP to enable local SGML editing of the source Data Modules for IETP v1.12 and beyond in accordance with S1000D v1.8, streamlined the Configuration Control Board (CCB) preparation and presentation processes to support the processing of critical Engineering Change Proposals (ECPs) and the resumed acceptance of production aircraft, and established the ECP Implementation Plan template and process to support the in-service rollout of aircraft and component modifications.Main duties / key achievements included:• Project Manager for RC Stream 4A – IETP; the successful completion of this project resulted in significant end user IETP improvements and streamlined localisation capabilities• Project Manager for IETP Normal Revision (NR) Continuous Improvement Project; successful completion of this project reduced AEO workload surrounding IETP NR deliveries and truncated the RAMSPO DA/IA/SR timeline• Project Manager for Task Kick-Off Meeting (TKOM) and Technical Review Board (TRB) process implementation; the successful completion of the project has minimised ADP rework at the DA and IA review loop steps, with increased artefact consistency and broadened cross functional knowledge across the AEO• Coordination and management of updates to the Configuration Master Plan• Creation and ongoing management of Implementation Plans to support ECP changes• Coordination of ILS, supply and fleet planning support to meet CCB endorsed ECP Implementation Plans• Acting as the Manager MRH Technical Services delegate when required as part of succession management planning• Identification and development of business tool and process improvement avenues

• MRH 90 Technical Publications Lead

  As the Technical Publications Lead for the MRH90 Multi Role Helicopter program I managed a team of six Technical Writers and one Technical Illustrator to develop and maintain Instructions for Continued Airworthiness (ICA) for the MRH90 Interactive Electronic Technical Publication (IETP), Flight Manual (FM) and Flight Crew Checklist (FCC). During my time in this role I oversaw the growth and expansion of the team from four to eight members, established the MRH Restricted Network infrastructure, implemented a vast database conversion project to incorporate Technical Publications process flows into the Product Lifecycle Management Tool (Enovia), and streamlined existing processes using Lean methodologies to achieve and maintain the on-time delivery of critical ICA for a number of key system capabilities. Main duties / key achievements included (in addition to Technical Publications Developer responsibilities):• Direct report to the Manager MRH Technical Services• Frontline Technical Writer and Technical Illustrator team management• Resource planning, scheduling and task prioritisation to meet critical deliverables in both the Acquisition and Through Life Support contract phases• Representing Technical Services in the Sustainment Program Management Meetings (SPMM)• Procurement, testing and implementation of S1000D specific software solutions, enabling Australian Aerospace to publish the Australianised Aircrew Information Set (AAIS)• Networking and liaising with CoA representatives to improve customer communication lines and strengthen end user support• Contributing to global NHI (NATO Helicopter Industries) Technical Publications Working Group (TPWG) sessions for NH90 customer nations in Aix En Provence, France• Identification and development of business tool and process improvement avenues • Networking and liaising with NHI technical publications contacts to establish immediate access to source data

• Technical Publications Developer

  As a Technical Publications Developer for Australian Aerospace Ltd I became proficient in the S1000D documentation standard and created numerous amendments to both electronic and hardcopy technical publications. I formulated and cultivated working relationships with a number of departments and individuals within the MRH Plateau. I acted as project manager for the implementation of Technical Notes into the IETP to increase end user accessibility, and became the Single Point of Contact for any required IETP changes surrounding First of Class Flight Trials (FOCFT).I advanced in my position and was identified by the Technical Publications Lead as a candidate for Succession Management.Main duties included:• Developing amendments to existing electronic publications (IETP) in accordance with the S1000D specification• Developing amendments to existing hardcopy publications (Flight Manual and Flight Crew Checklist)• Researching, analysing and documenting technical data• Updating and maintaining the Technical Publications Database• Understanding and interpreting the S1000D specification• Understanding and applying Simplified Technical English (STE)• Delegating to, and managing the workload of other members of the MRH Technical Publications team• Liaising with other departments within the MRH Platform (Engineering, Supply Chain, Logistics Support, Configuration Management, Data Management) to produce integrated logistics solutions• Direct liaison with MRH Logistics Management Unit (MRH LMU) for approval and release of documentation updates• Meeting deadlines for contract deliverables

  I commenced employment with Transtoll Pty Ltd as a junior Technical Writer. In my time with the company I completed the final edits on a number of operations and maintenance manuals for a Brisbane based project (Paradise Road Interchange), and created user manuals for a Sydney based project (Eastern Distributor Toll Road). I was responsible for managing the documentation database and controlling document releases, as well as assisting the creation of tender proposals and marketing material. In addition I was pivotal in the company wide shift from a project to product based focus in creating COTS (Commercial off the Shelf) style documents for use with future contracts.
